Hit and Miss

I love Minnesota--that's where we are getting airplay. So you don't have to hunt for us, I will tell. It's happening at: KMSU

They have been alternating between "Hours in Reverse (Deja Vu)" and "Members Only". On Tuesday, July 18 it was "Hours" in a set with Beth Orton, Tegan & Sara, Sarah McLachlan, and Elvis (that is, Presley--the king).

A kind and hip soul in Chicago going by the handle "somepeople" says some glowing and rather clever words about SEAWORTHY in his Livejournal blog called: Knee Deep in the Hoopla!! Yay!!

Meanwhile, my cat Stella has developed some interesting new hunting and gathering habits. She may be adjusting to her new Mission district life, which lacks the outdoor access she enjoyed in the Haight--I dunno. First, she began bringing my stuffed animals (particularly my Piglet toy) to my door at 3 am and meowing in a peculiar and urgent timbre of distress mixed with pride. Then she added my faux-raccoon-tail-hat to her playlist of inanimate prey. As of late, my socks and even some undergarments are in high rotation. The graveyard shift has been dispensed with and she hunts 24/7. Sometimes she puts my favorite little brown polka-dotted socks in her little brown catbed and sleeps on them, which makes me think she is living out some maternal fantasy. Today I found her sleeping in her wee bed with Piglet.

Was she saying, "I don't know nothing about birthing no kittens, Miss Piglet" ...

...Or was it," I can bring home the bacon" ...

...On the other hand it could be, " Don't step on my blue suede Piglet"...?

We may never know.
